Welcome to the State Tariffs Tracker (the “Site”), published by the National Taxpayers Union Foundation (“NTUF,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Using and citing the Site

The Site is free to use. You may view, share, link to, quote, and cite its contents — including state figures, charts, and downloadable reports — for news reporting, research, education, advocacy, and other noncommercial purposes, with attribution: “Source: National Taxpayers Union Foundation, State Tariffs Tracker (tariffs.org).” Journalists are expressly welcome to use the figures with that attribution. You may not scrape, bulk-download, or republish the Site's dataset as a whole, or use the Site in a way that disrupts its operation, without our prior written permission.

2. Intellectual property

The Site's content, design, charts, reports, and the selection and arrangement of its data are © National Taxpayers Union Foundation or its licensors, all rights reserved. Underlying government statistics are public information; we claim no ownership of them. Estimates presented on the Site are prepared for NTUF by Trade Partnership Worldwide.

3. Informational purposes; estimates

The Site is for general informational and educational purposes only. Figures presented are estimates based on economic models, assumptions, and third-party data; actual amounts may differ, and figures may be revised as underlying data is updated. Nothing on the Site is legal, tax, financial, accounting, or investment advice, and the Site should not be relied on as the basis for business or financial decisions. Content does not necessarily reflect the views of any government agency.

4. No warranties

The Site and its contents are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NTUF, its officers, directors, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if advised of the possibility. If liability nonetheless arises, it is limited in the aggregate to $100.

6. Third-party sites

The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought exclusively in the courts located in the District of Columbia.

8. Changes
